If the poor can’t afford the schools for rich – we must create such schools for the poor where the rich would study.

The education system in our country is a disaster. It is one of the leading reasons of social disparity in our country. The free education that the government provides isn’t up to the standards that are required for one to live a better life. The poor families that can’t afford to send their kids to private schools have to rely on the free public education being provided by the government of Pakistan. The education system is outdated and is ineffective, drastic reforms in this sector are required. Most of the public schools in villages lack the basic facilities of a proper school. Corruption is what has infested this department just like all the other departments of the government. What we need to do is bring reforms in our education system, reforms such as standardizing the syllabus/curriculum of all the schools across the country and introducing the latest smart room technologies in the public schools for effective learning. These bold steps would change the face of the state owned schools and education would be the same for everyone, hence creating equality in opportunity for everyone in the country. The education for the elites and the poor would be the same; this would stop the gulf between the growing social disparities and eventually fill it in. Every child in the country should have the same exposure so that every citizen can utilize their potential to the fullest. Reforms in the educational sector can help people overcome the social barriers that exist in the country.
